WHAT IS ROC FUNCTIONAL FITNESS?
ROC FF is a multi-class per day, multi-day per week Athlete Based Functional Fitness Program with a fully integrated Strength and Conditioning program. This hybrid training program benefits a broad range of clientele to build strength, increase fat loss, and improve aerobic conditioning. As a certified Spartan SGX training program, ROC Functional Fitness has the expertise, equipment, coaching and resources to transform any individual into an athlete. ROC Functional Fitness focuses first and foremost on the quality of movement, then, the quantity of movement. The program combines resistance training, bodyweight movements, dynamic stretching and cardio-focused drills that incorporates movement efficiency combined with energy system development. This is accomplished with the use of varied work-to-recovery ratios that target specific energy systems.
HOW IS ROC FUNCTIONAL FITNESS UNIQUE?
One of the keys aspects that makes ROC Functional Fitness different from other training programs is its integration of both traditional and non-traditional functional exercises, equipment and training methodology into one hybrid program that is designed to train both athletes and non-athletes alike. Some of the non-traditional exercises athletes will experience include weighted carries, rope climbs, wall climbs, traverse walls, tire drags, and sled pushes, just to name a few. These exercises are in addition to more traditional functional exercises such as squats, deadlifts, pull-ups, slam balls, burpees, and other bodyweight exercises geared to condition the body for improved functionality in everyday life. ROC Functional Fitness also focuses heavily on flexibility, mobility, core strength and recovery.
ROC Functional Fitness is the premiere functional training program for any athlete who desires to be faster, stronger and more agile. Athletes will receive coaching-intensive instruction from the Spartan SGX certified coaches to help them reach their goals and become the best athlete possible, regardless of age, strength, or ability level. ROC coaches will work with athletes to develop physical and mental toughness that is both beneficial to live a healthy daily life and is transferable to other fitness disciplines. No matter their goals, athletes will receive a unique and physically demanding workout designed to challenge them and push them to reach their absolute best.
